Our engagement with Artists

We are open to dialogues with you about your work. We are supportive of radical, form-breaking, provocative, live performance – sensitive to its context and audience. We are especially interested in artists from the West Midlands region, however we are receptive to practices from anywhere in the world. We prefer to engage with you from the earliest stages of your creative journey and are less excited about presenting completely realized or formulated projects.

We encourage a more slow-burn development of a relationship. This may begin with an invitation from you to see a current work, a browse of your website or viewing documentation you send us. This may lead to a phone conversation, a Skype chat or face-to-face meeting in which ideas can be discussed at greater length. We are keen to seed organic relationships that will be particular to each artist.

In addition, we will periodically be organizing artists brainstorm events to pool ideas and foster and enliven the arts community in the West Midland region; complimentary to these collective events will be a series of one-on-one surgeries on specific dates throughout the year.
