Jigisha Patel

Associate Creative Producer

Jigisha has worked in the arts and heritage sectors for the past twelve years. She has specialist knowledge in the fields of arts marketing, event management, audience development and research, particularly with engaging non-specialist audiences. She began her career working for SAMPAD where she focused on artists’ development, cross-cultural collaboration and commissioning new work that toured internationally. In 2001, she moved to Birmingham’s new science museum during its launch year.

Between 2002-9, Jigisha worked at Ikon Gallery heading up marketing and PR.  She is a 2006/7 Fellow on the Clore Leadership Programme, during which time she undertook secondments at the Royal Shakespeare Company and The REP, and an Arts & Humanities Research Council funded project exploring the role of ethics in cultural leadership.

Since November 2009, Jigisha has been working as a freelance consultant and producer with Flatpack Festival, the Independent Festivals Group, Punch, Banner Theatre and Capsule’s Home of Metal. She is also a Board Member for Grand Union.

She has two young sons and enjoys most of all watching them grow and thrive.
