Fierce Start Party

The Fierce Start Party will be on Thursday 15th April 2010. Everyone is welcome.

If you’re reading this you are invited.

The Fierce Start Party is an event to launch the ten month journey that will culminate in the first Fierce Festival under the new artistic directorship of Laura McDermott and Harun Morrison in February 2011.

On the 15th April we will introduce you to the Fierce Festival Caravan of Artists 2010 – 2011.

These are the artists whose work will be the core of the festival. We don’t know exactly what the works will be. We’ll discover that over the course of the year. We are excited by this level of risk. We want you to be too.

Each artist in the Caravan has been invited to have a presence on the 15th. Some will have travelled from abroad to physically be there. Some have made installations. Others will be performing or showing photographs, writing letters or addressing you via skype.

There will be different works to experience, and conversations to have throughout the day. The Fierce team will also be present to talk to you.

The doors open from 3pm. The Artistic Directors will talk – but not too long – at about 7pm. We hope things get messy from 9pm.

The event will take place in a former warehouse space called A.E.Harris it’s the current home of the company Stan’s Café who will feature in the festival.

There will be soup, tea, coffee, alcohol and live music.

We look forward to setting off with you.
